Carolyn - Counsellor & Grief Educator
Carolyn comes to the role of counsellor after many years of life experience and careers in teaching, publishing, natural health and aged care/disability support work.
In all her roles Carolyn has been an unofficial counsellor to many, holding confidence, trust and hope for people who often just need to be heard, understood and supported to get through challenging times. Working with older people, Carolyn has seen firsthand how challenging this life stage can be. Often people experience numerous losses at this stage including the death of a loved one, illness that robs independence, finances and dreams. Some become a carer for a loved one, have to move from the family home and friends (and possibly your treasured garden) and adjust to a new environment. All of these changes can be stressful, lonely and confusing.
